Morgan appeared in the Safe Sex for Men and Women educational video that focused on AIDS education and Prevention. Some of the proceeds were donated to American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan serves as a participant on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the primary driver behind numerous fund-raising efforts for this disease. Morgan also gave a speech to an Congressional special committee on AIDS education. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and on the Board of Governors of APLA. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to substitute for him at AIDS events and she has been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special with anchorman Steve Bell. She has appeared twice on Nightline together with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan was nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. Morgan was co-starring in the ABC show Your Money or Your Wife with Joan Rivers. The summer was kicked off by Murder At The PTA Luncheon. Productions like Von Zerneck/Sertner also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. The next time she appeared, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also starred exclusively in the thriller on USA Network's psychological suspense, which garnered some of the strongest ratings this network's recorded.
